What is R.O.C.K. Camp?
Designed to help students transition from high school to college, R.O.C.K Camp develops first-year students by introducing them to a diverse social network of classmates, upperclassmen, and faculty & staff members, while strengthening their bond to the University of Arkansas and the Fayetteville community through the introduction of campus culture and traditions.
Student will move into their on-campus residence halls early and activities will begin on the Fayetteville campus. Students will also stay overnight in cabins at Camp Heart O’Hills in Welling, Oklahoma to go on a float trip and participate in activities at their facilities.
R.O.C.K. Camp is lead by a team of upper-class student mentors who are dedicated to helping new students start their college careers off on the right foot, and are enthusiastic about welcoming new students to the Razorback family.
R.O.C.K. Camp is open to 300 students. Be sure to register early to secure your spot. All camp programs and activities are designed to be engaging, entertaining, energetic, and insightful.
What should I expect?
Expect to have lots of fun! You will have the chance to meet new people, serve the U of A campus and Fayetteville community, identify your individual strengths that will help you succeed in college, and so much more.
You are placed in a variety of small groups led by upper-class mentors to participate in camp activities, have discussions, win competitions, and get to know the UofA Campus. Some of the favorite activities that happen at camp are the float trip, Hog Wild Olympics, Bonfire Skit Competition, and various Color Team Meetings, just to name a few.

R.O.C.K. Camp is led by students for students and provides you with the opportunity to start building friendships and transitioning to life as a college student. Your fellow Razorbacks will help to welcome you to campus by sharing their experiences and getting you excited for all of the amazing experiences to come. Programming is designed to help you meet and network with students, faculty, and staff, and to help you get acquainted with the University of Arkansas campus before school even starts. Additionally, you get the opportunity to learn about valuable resources that will set you apart and help you feel confident in the classroom and at your new home. This is a great way to jump start your college career as a True Razorback!
